Grand Central Park - Memorable Date Nights in Conroe
February 13, 2019
Grand Central Park offers plenty of opportunities for romance. We had quite the turnout for our resident-only Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams date event on Feb. 9 and we can’t think of a better place to get down on one knee than Trillium Park at sunset. But nearby Conroe provides plenty of opportunities for dreamy dinners and amorous adventures. Here are a few of our favorites:
Dine Lakeside Papas on the Lake 14632 TX-105 Montgomery, TX 77356 A simple glass of wine and a large body of water are all it takes to create some magic. If you and your sweetie also love live music, video games and a chance to play pool, you’ll love Papas.
Sam’s Boat Gulf Coast Kitchen 15250 Hwy 105 West Montgomery, TX 77356 One of the best locations on the water in Houston, this Lake Conroe favorite serves up fresh Gulf Coast seafood each night with live music and fresh breezes.
La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa 600 La Torretta Blvd. Montgomery, TX 77356 You don’t need a special occasion to reserve a table at La Torretta but it is the perfect place to celebrate one. Pair signature steaks or Chilean sea bass with a selection from the extensive wine list and be sure to tell the babysitter you’ll be a little late.
Grab a Beer Together B-52 Brewing Co. 12470 Milroy Lane Conroe, TX 77304 If a great night out with your boo involves craft beer, ditch the bar and head to the source. Sit on the patio and sip unique flavors like Stargazer Peanut Butter Stout and My Spirit Viking IPA. The brewery also hosts special release parties, trivia nights, scavenger hunts and festivals.
Copperhead Brewery 822 N Frazier Street Conroe, TX 77301 Hang out and enjoy some quality time with great beer in the tap room or on the covered patio. There’s a pool table, a ping pong table, giant Jenga and a foosball table if you are feeling competitive.
Southern Star Brewing Company 3525 N Frazier Street Conroe, TX 77303 The first Texas brewery to can their beer, Southern Star is the home of Bombshell Blonde and a Biergarten with a live music stage and a disc golf course. If the two of you love metal music don’t miss the annual Texas Metal Fest on Feb. 23.
Explore the Arts Crighton Theatre 234 N. Main Street Conroe, TX 77301 Downtown Conroe is home to a lively arts scene, but the crowning jewel is the Crighton Theatre. Built in 1934, it’s a historic treasure where the two of you can enjoy musicals, ballet and jazz concerts. Don’t miss “42ndStreet” in February, Pam Tillis in March or Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers in May.
Owen Theatre 225 Metcalf Street Conroe, TX 77301 Surprise your partner with tickets to a favored musical at Owen Theatre. The intimate 250-seat venue has a great line-up this season including “Godspell” (March) and “Happy Days the Musical” (May) and “Daddy's Dyin’: Who's Got the Will” (July).
Conroe Art League Gallery 127 Simonton Street Conroe, TX 77301 Stroll through this little jewel that houses the creative expression of local artists. If the two of you want to do some creating of your own, the gallery also offers a full calendar of classes including ceramics, drawing, watercolors and photography.
